Guard, troopers search for missing hunter near Homer

The search continues for an Anchorage man missing on a hunting trip near Homer.
The Alaska Air National Guard says in a news release that 38-year-old Robert Johnson
has been missing since Saturday when he was separated from his hunting partner.
The guard says Johnson was hunting mountain goats about 25 miles southeast of Homer
but didn't return to camp.
Johnson's hunting partner was picked up and returned to Anchorage.
The guard and Alaska State Troopers are searching for Johnson with helicopters and
an aircraft.

Alaska State Troopers say searchers have found the body of a 38-year-old Anchorage
man who went missing during a hunting trip near Homer.
Troopers say it appears Robert Johnson fell down a steep ravine.
Troopers and the Alaska Air National Guard participated in an aerial search for
Johnson, who was missing since last weekend when he was separated from his hunting
partner.
Johnson's body was found Friday. The body has been recovered.
The guard has said Johnson was hunting mountain goats about 25 miles southeast of
Homer and didn't return to camp.
Johnson's hunting partner was picked up and returned to Anchorage.
